Pre-Event Checklist: A helpful guide for venues & clients
This guide helps ensure the necessary preparations are made ahead of our arrival, and to help everything run smoothly on the day
Food & Refreshments: As we often have to travel for several hours before reaching a venue, and then travel back again (often into the early hours) following set up, performance and tear down, the following are greatly appreciated:
☐ Soft drinks on arrival are greatly appreciated!
☐ A hot meal around an hour and a half before show time.
Dressing Room / Green Room
☐ Private dressing room with a mirror and a place to hang costumes, that is available for the duration of our stay.
☐ Toilets are not acceptable as a dressing room; but conference rooms, hotel rooms, small offices, etc are fine!
Stage/ Performance Area: Insufficient sockets/ supply can cause the electric to trip, potentially causing damage to our equipment and negatively impacting the show.
☐ A suitable performance area must be provided: A stage isn’t essential, but it really helps to elevate the show.
☐ Suggested minimum stage size/ Performance Area: 5m wide x 3m deep.
☐ Please ensure there are 2 separate plug points meeting or exceeding British Standards within five metres of the performance area (even closer if possible).
☐ If a DJ is booked, please ensure they allow enough space for the band to set up.
Outdoor Events: please read carefuly
☐ A fully watertight performance area including protection from angled rain is essential, even if no rain forecast.
☐ Hard flooring or matting must be provided if there is no stage; we’re unable to perform directly on grass/ gravel etc. This is due to high heeled boots and dance routines!
☐ Shading/ Floor stage fans/ AC must be provided where temperatures exceed 30°C. This is for performer welfare, and to ensure our equipment doesn’t overheat.
Guest Conduct & Safety & Why we ask this:
☐ Please ensure no guests enter the stage/ performance area at any time (unless invited by the band).
☐ Please ensure no drinks are placed on the speakers/ near any equipment.
Our equipment is sensitive and expensive — spilled drinks can damage or break equipment, equipment can be inadvertently kicked/ damaged, cables can be unplugged, even without meaning to.
☐ Please ensure that suitable supervision or security is designated throughout the event.
We completely understand that events can get lively - that’s what we want! However, we do ask that any overly intoxicated, aggressive, or disruptive behaviour is managed by the client or venue team so that everyone can enjoy the event safely. If at any point safety becomes a concern for the band, guests, or equipment, we may need to pause or stop the performance —(full payment would still apply in these circumstances).
